Battlefield 4 No Sound: The Ultimate Guide to Fixing It

A faulty/outdated audio driver can cause game audio issues. An audio driver is a translator for your system and device, and if it goes wrong, you will be having sound problems. There are onboard sound card drivers and headset drivers (for some older ones).

battlefield 4 no sound

ok check all connections on PC headphones speakers what ever you use. Also check in game and PC sound settings. Do driver updates :} But it sounds like you did most if not all of this already so something could be mucked up in game cfg so do this group of settings and then do last part reg cfg

1. open control panel 2.go to sound 3. click at the speaker, open properties 4.go to advanced tab5.try changing the default format of the audio quality, e.g. to 24 bit, 44100hz (studio quality)

EDIT. I have run the following test. With my headphones plugged, I open up iTunes and start playing a song. As you would expect, it plays through the heaphones. Then I start up Battlefield 4. It takes a few minutes. As soon as I see the "loading level..." message, all the audio suddently switches from the headphones to the main speakers, including the music from iTunes. When I shut down Battlefield, sound goes back to the headphones. Isn't it odd?

Based on your report so far I would suspect there is another setting somewhere in the Windows or game options, to control where sound from your game is sent. It might be as simple as something like different sound (stream/file) types, and you have missed the setting for sound from your game. You might get a clue from where the sounds from your game are actually coming out when you play - is there an option to configure this, remember to look within the game configuration while the game is active because it might disappear when the game is not running.

Tried following every tutorial I can find but none are working, I have series x and the menu sounds work perfectly fine but as soon as I load an app or a game it goes silent. Any help really appreciatedSozSource

I started having this problem a few days ago. There was sound on some games but not others. I unplugged my HDMI cable and put it in to another port on my TV and the sound came back straight away (Source)

That said, Windows 10 now actually supports the ability to specify what app can use what device. In order to select this option, first, make sure the app is playing music, so windows recognizes the app to have audio capabilities. Then right-click the speaker icon in your system tray and choose Open sound settings.

At the very bottom, below advanced sound settings, there's this bar that says volume and device preferences of app. I didn't actually see it at first, but this is actually a button you can click to open a new page full of nice audio goodies.

I believe your bluetooth device is showing up as two audio devices to windows. Normally the highquality one is active in the actual physical headset, but as soon as activity is detected on the low quality one, then the high quality output shuts off. So you need to move the output of the game to the low quality output which may be called handsfree possibly by temporarily disabling that one or selecting the output in "app volume and device preferences" in sound settings.

3) Under Audio Output Settings once more, select Audio Format (Priority) and change this from Linear PCM to Bitstream (Dolby). Anything else selected might cause the loss of surround sound or audio altogether.

Yes, that's right, our engineers at Clan Timberwulf have found sounds directly ripped off BF4, all of them; original sound effects, re-blended together to recreate a AAA experience. Currently, this mod stands as a test mod for a larger project. Place your feedback wherever you see fit. or in my discord server:

There have been some issues with streaming for certain games, Battlefield 4 being one of them that the video will stream with no sound. If one hits the stream button on the controller and then goes to stream options, you can set the video to stream with Mic Chat that will record with the video or during a live stream. This was not a proven fix for Battlefield 4's no sound with video but it does allow in-game chat to be played with the video being viewed during certain times.

Sometimes, how an app is programmed is why your viewers can't hear your Discord stream. For example, some browsers use a different process for displaying the content and another for playing sound. Since Discord extracts the audio from the process showing the content, it won't capture the sound coming from a different process.

To check this, try streaming a different game. If Discord could capture the sound from the other title you just opened, this is most likely the problem. If that is the case, you can use the Voicemeeter virtual sound mixer to combine your microphone input and gaming sound into one virtual stream.

Please note that Mumble works with all games as a regular voice chat application. Those listed on this page are the games for which we are providing positional sound support, so that the voice of your teammates comes from their direction in game.

Two pieces of theme music are used for the series: one opening theme and one ending theme. The opening theme is "Hikari no Senritsu" (光の旋律, lit. "Melody of Light") by Kalafina and the single was released on January 20, 2010 by Sony Music. The ending theme is "Girls, Be Ambitious." by Haruka Tomatsu and the single was released on January 27, 2010 by Music Ray'n. The anime's original soundtrack was released on March 24, 2010 by Aniplex.[17]

Unlike the more expensive 7.1 Surround sound headsets from Razer, the BlackShark features the 2.0 Dobly Surround sound. The drivers feature the 40mm neodymium magnets with copper-clad aluminum voice-coil to deliver a frequency response ranging from 20Hz to 20 KHz with an impedance of 20 Ohms. The headset has a input power of 50mW while the sensitivity at 1KHz frequency is around 105dB.

The evaluation of any gaming headset ends up in results that vary from person to person. For me, testing out the Razer BlackShark Gaming headset resulted in a much phenomenal experience. The bass of the Razer BlackShark is powerful and at the same time delivers amazing clarity for movies and games. For music however, slight bit of sound distortion may ruin the overall experience but its not much of a problem as faced on other headsets.

I tested the Razer BlackShark specifically in games since its built specifically for gamers first and with Battlefield 4 BETA already out, i instantly booted the game with the headset plugged in and my god was the experience amazing and life-like. Battlefield as a series is known for its crisp and realistic gun sounds so i browsed through the entire selection of guns available in the BETA such as the SCAR-H, M26 MASS, CS-LR4 and a few more. Im glad to say that the experience was far better than anything i've heard over my previous headsets. The heavy breathing when sprinting was clear and the high bass that came moments before the building came falling down feels like a new game every time you experience it.

With gaming done, the Razer BlackShark had to go through one more testing phase before i came to a final conclusion, the movie experience. Headsets even if they are meant for gaming have other needs too, watching movies over the Razer BlackShark was essential for completing this review hence i gave it a try with the most recent Blu Ray movie i had access to - World War Z. Since this is another Zombie movie, there were lots of instances of loud screams, gun-fire and heavy noises. The overall sound effects were great however the bass got a bit loud during some sequences but again isn't much of an issue since i checked it with another headset and got the same issue with it.

The audio quality in games and movies is superb and crystal clear with no distortion in the sound quality. The bass in particular is excellent and would easily blow away those who underestimate this premium product. All in all, the Razer BlackShark has a price which is slightly on the high side but so is its audio quality and design scheme. BlackShark is a premium high-quality product for gamers.

When you break these the blue doors at Lumphini Garden, you will find a radio. If you do not equip the veteran dogtag you will hear, when interacting with it, a beep-sound, but when you equip it you can hear the Battlefield 2 Theme Song.

To find the detailed mini L5 Riesig near G on Giants of Karelia you have to jump down to the shelf over the northern entrance. There you can interact with it. You will hear sounds which this battle warrior makes. Between the legs you can find the names of dice members who probably created it.

To hear that rare sound, Wilhelm Richards Wagner-Flight of the Valkyries, you have to be with two people in a US-helicopter on the map Operation Outbreak. Then you have to fly to the top point of the map and then fly very high.

I seem to have a similar problem, although I am unable to try further diagnostics such as un-installing HyperV. I wonder if this is some regression, because I thought sound used to be working. I do recall having to go into the Properties-Advanced tab of Intel Display Audio and selecting one of the 24-bit formats instead of the default 16-bit formats. I thought that was strange but had been thinking it might be related to my DisplayPort or HDMI monitor. Sorry I am not much help but I look forward to any resolution. 2ff7e9595c
